Projects

The Justice and Peace Service of the Archdiocese of Bamenda is working in 5 out of the 7 Divisions of the North West Region  (Mezam, Momo, Ngoketunjia, Menchum and Boyo). It is thus, within this jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Bamenda that the Justice and Peace Service functions.

The Justice and Peace Service is engaged in numerous projects and is always taking an action oriented approach to carry out these activities such as: education and sensitization on various issues like human rights and trafficking in persons. It also strives at promoting justice and peace in communities in the light of the Gospel and the social teaching of the church.

The Service also assembles, evaluates and analyse various types of information. From the results of the research it carries out on conflicts in the region, it informs the local ordinary about the conclusions it has drawn and proposes a way forward. It also has a broad network as it works with other CSOs and church groups and a liaison with all 34 parishes, where it is effectively represented.
