MISEREOR’s Project Officer for the Central African Region, Mr. Vincent HENDRICKX Visits the Justice & Peace Service

This visit which took place within the context of the ongoing armed conflict in the North West & south West Regions of Cameroon had as objectives, to understand the challenges the JPS Team is facing, and also to evaluate the level of its implementation of the MISEREOR funded project for the Archdiocese of Bamenda.

With the high level of insecurity in the North West Region, this meeting took place in Bafoussam on the 30th of November 2019 in the Diocesan Office of CODAS Caritas, bringing together the full JPS Team, including our Volunteer Barristers, and Mr. Vincent HENDRICKX.

At the end on the successful deliberations, all stakeholders left with concrete actions to strengthen the process of implementation of the project, and proposals for future areas of cooperation. They also prayed for an end to the hostilities, and subsequently a lasting solution to the armed conflict.

Being his very first visit to JPS Bamenda, he was given some souvenirs as gifts peculiar to this region.
