Assessment and Support of Trafficking in Person (TIP) Survivors

Posted in Promoting Human Rights and Conflict Management in the Archdiocese of Bamenda (2012 – 2015).

On Tuesday the 16th of December 2014, all the TIP survivors supported by the Commission assembled at the Justice and Peace Office where they had discussions with staff members on progress in their various fields.

This gathering gave the survivors the opportunity to show case their productions. They were advised to take their programs serious so as to become better persons upon completion.

On this occasion, one of the Survivors, Anyaka Mirabel who had completed her training in tailoring was also supported with start-up capital in the form of a sewing Machine and its accessories. All the TIP Survivors were equally given nutritional support for the festive period. In a word of thanks, one of the Survivors appreciated the relentless efforts of the commission in combating this heinous crime in the Archdiocese, and in a special way, she thanks the Coordinator for being steadfast in this fight through the support she constantly gives survivors. At the end of the day, a common meal was shared by the survivors and staff of the Commission.
