A Team from Mensen met een Missie (MM) Visits the Justice and Peace Commission, Archdiocese of Bamenda

From the 17th – 18th November 2014, a team from Mensen met een Missie (MM): Mr.Kees Ton and Ms. Barbara Berger paid a monitoring visit to the Justice and Peace Service of the Archdiocese of Bamenda.

Accompanied by the Coordinator of the Justice and Peace Service, Laura AnyolaTufon, and the Volunteer Peace Building Officer for the Service, Nadine Karmann they paid a courtesy visit to the Auxiliary Bishop, His Lordship Agapitus Nfon. This team equally paid monitoring visits to the Women Peace Committees of Bambalang, Balikumbat and Bafanji. During these visits, the team from MM had the opportunity to discuss directly with the Women Peace Committees who also trilled them in songs, dance, and drama.

At the end of their visit, the team was very impressed with the work the commission has been doing in the area of conflict management, and in a special way, her initiative of mobilizing and constituting women into peace committees to manage conflicts in their communities.
