According to the Administrative Organogram of Evangelization outlined in the Pastoral Plan of the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province, the Justice and Peace Service is one of the offices charged with issues related to the Justice and Peace and overseas the implementation of the Provincial Pastoral Plan (PPP) through the Justice and Peace Commission. It is also the Archbishop’s secretariat which advises on issues of Justice and Peace. Therefore it is under the direct jurisdiction of the Local Ordinary.

Onceevery year, the Service Head of Justice and Peace, like heads of other Archdiocesan Services, reports to the Bishop during the pastoral week celebration with the objective of seeing into it that the role of the Service as spelt out in the (PPP) is effectively and efficiently carried out. It is on the strength of this proviso that the service functions on a full time basis, with competent staff to carry out the very important role assigned to it.
