During our 2026 Annual Recollection which took place at the La Verna Spiritual Centre, Nkwen, we received an intense spiritual talk from our Chaplain Fr. George Ngalim,celebrated mass and had a common meal as staff of the Justice and Peace Service journeying into the new year in oneness.
During the spiritual talk, we were asked to draw lessons from the life of Pope John Paul II; how to practice radical forgiveness, living with simplicity and joy, championing human dignity and freedom as well as promoting dialogue.
We were encouraged as staff members of this service not to minimize the work we do to promote Justice and Peace, but to see our work as a divine duty and as Christians carrying out special apostolate within the Church.
As each one of us strive to one day leave JPS Bamenda better than we found it, we say “Lord make ME an Instrument of your Peace”.
